SMS Sender IDs
Request and manage the sender names shown on your outbound SMS.
What is a Sender ID?
The sender ID is the name shown as the sender of your SMS messages — typically your company or brand name. Sender IDs are 3–11 letters and numbers (no spaces or symbols).
Requesting a Sender ID
Go to Sender IDs in your portal sidebar, enter the name you want, and submit. It will show as Pending until your provider reviews it, then Approved or Rejected.
Sender ID Policies
Depending on your account's policy, sender ID approval may be required:
- If your account is on a strict policy, messages from unapproved sender IDs are rejected — you'll see the error when sending.
- Otherwise, unapproved sender IDs may still send, but getting your regular sender names approved is recommended — policies can change.
💡 Tip: Request approval for every sender name you use regularly, before you need it. Approval is instant to use once granted.
