6X Softswitch — Your Own Dedicated Voice & SMS Rental

An independent softswitch rental tier — your own dedicated IP, your own vendors, zero approval, flat monthly rent instead of commission. Free trials available.

6X Softswitch — Your Own Dedicated Voice & SMS Rental

6X Softswitch is an independent tier above standard wholesale reselling — instead of reselling 6X's own vendor pool at a margin, you get your own dedicated infrastructure: your own IP, your own carrier connections, and complete autonomy over your own downstream customers. It's built for VoIP providers who want to run their own wholesale voice and SMS business on 6X's platform, not resell someone else's.

How It's Different From Standard Reselling

  • Your own vendors. Connect your own carriers directly — your rates, your relationships, completely separate from 6X's own vendor pool and every other partner's.
  • Zero approval. Add vendors and onboard your own downstream customers instantly — nothing needs 6X sign-off.
  • Flat monthly rent, not commission. Standard resellers pay 6X a per-minute/per-message margin skim on their customers' traffic. Softswitch partners pay a flat monthly fee instead and keep 100% of what they charge downstream.
  • A dedicated IP. Your voice and SMS traffic both run over the same dedicated IP, isolated from 6X's own and from other partners. This "Voice + SMS" IP is the standard, default option — it's what almost every Softswitch partner gets.

What You Get

  1. A dedicated IP that handles both your voice and SMS traffic.
  2. A My Vendors page in your partner portal — add and manage your own carrier connections. Voice and SMS rates are managed separately (a vendor's SMS pricing is its own rate table, not shared with its voice rates), each with CSV bulk import/export so a large rate sheet doesn't have to be entered one destination at a time. You can also top up a vendor's balance directly from this page to record payments you've made to them outside 6X.
  3. A concurrent voice session limit sized to your plan, not a one-size-fits-all number. This cap is voice-only — SMS messaging is unlimited, gated only by your wallet balance, no matter which plan you're on.
  4. Full self-service management of your downstream wholesale customers, same portal every wholesale customer already uses — inbound numbers, Basic IVR, callback routing, and inbound SMS all included standard.

Routing Groups: Organize Your Vendors Into Pools

Your account starts with one primary vendor pool — every vendor and downstream customer lands there by default. A Routing Groups page in your portal lets you create additional pools of your own, so you can split customers into tiers (e.g. a premium pool with your best carriers, an economy pool with cheaper ones) entirely within your own account. Assign which of your own vendors belong to each group, then assign customers to whichever group fits them. Your primary pool can't be deleted (new vendors and customers land there by default), but you can create and remove as many additional groups as you need.

Testing Your Own Vendors

Your Route Test page includes a free, no-call dial plan preview (see which vendor and rate a destination would actually use, before spending anything), plus a direct connectivity check for your own vendors — confirm a voice gateway is reachable or an SMS connector is bound, independent of any customer's routing.

Free Trial

Not ready to commit? Ask for a free trial when you get in touch. We provision full access — your own dedicated IP, your own vendor pool, voice and SMS — for a fixed test period, exactly like a paid account. Once that period passes, access is revoked automatically: there's no manual step on either side, no card on file, and nothing to cancel. Want to continue afterward? Just say so and it converts to a paid plan.

A Second, SMS-Only IP (Rare)

Almost every partner only ever needs the one "Voice + SMS" dedicated IP above. A separate, second SMS-only IP is only relevant if one of your upstream SMS vendors specifically requires messages to originate from their own distinct source IP address (uncommon, but it does happen with some carriers' firewalls). If you hit that situation, ask us for a second IP and we'll apply a SNAT rule for it.

What's a SNAT rule? SNAT (Source Network Address Translation) rewrites the source IP on outbound packets before they leave the server, so traffic to that one vendor appears to come from a different, specific IP than the server's normal address — without touching how the rest of your traffic is routed. It's applied manually, per vendor, only when actually needed.

Your Rental Agreement

When you're provisioned as a Softswitch partner, 6X sends a link to sign your Dedicated Switch Infrastructure Rental Agreement at contracts.6xcom.com — a short review-and-sign page covering your monthly fee, session cap, and dedicated IP. No company or banking paperwork to fill in, since those terms are already set when you're provisioned.

Getting Started

Chat or call us to discuss your plan — session capacity and monthly rent are set based on what you need, not a fixed menu. Both are free just to talk, and if you're ready, you can pay right there in the same conversation. Once provisioned, your dedicated IP, isolated vendor pool, and portal access are ready immediately — including a free trial period, if you asked for one. See current plans and pricing at softswitch.6xcom.com.

💡 Note: Dedicated IPs come from 6X's own hosting allocation — a physical constraint of the infrastructure your traffic runs over, so this can't be a "bring your own IP" arrangement. Availability is limited; ask about current capacity when you reach out.
