Creating an Event

You can create and publish events directly from your business dashboard. Events appear on your phonebook profile and can be shared publicly, complete with online ticket sales, QR check-in, and assigned seating.

Steps

1. Go to Dashboard → Events.
2. Click Create Event.
3. Fill in event name, description, date, time, location, and banner image.
4. For physical venues, enter the venue address — we automatically locate it on a map and show nearby hotels to your attendees.
5. Add ticket types — free or paid, seated or general admission.
6. Click Publish to submit for SuperAdmin approval.
7. You receive an email confirmation when it goes live.

Ticket Types

• Free tickets — available on all accounts at no cost.
• Paid tickets — requires the Paid Ticket Sales addon ($15/month).

Assigned Seating

For theaters, galas, conferences, or dinners where guests need a specific seat, enable Assigned Seating when creating a ticket type:

• Choose a layout: Tables (e.g. galas, dinners) or Rows (e.g. theaters, conferences).
• Set how many tables/rows you have and how many seats each one holds — we generate the full seat map automatically.
• Quantity available is calculated automatically from tables/rows × seats.
• Visitors pick their own seat from a live seat map when buying a ticket. Taken seats are shown greyed out so two people can never book the same seat.
• Leave Assigned Seating off for general admission — visitors just choose a quantity.

Nearby Hotels

When you add a physical venue address, your public event page automatically shows an interactive map with nearby hotels — helping out-of-town guests find a place to stay without leaving the page. No setup required; this happens automatically based on your venue address.

Managing Attendees

Go to Dashboard → Events → Attendees to see everyone who bought a ticket, their table/seat assignment, and payment status. For general admission tickets, you can manually note a table/seat for any attendee. Seated tickets show the seat the visitor picked — this can't be edited manually since it's tracked live on the seat map.

Tickets & Check-in

Every ticket includes a QR code for check-in, and shows the attendee's table/seat (if applicable) on the web ticket, downloadable PDF, and confirmation email.
